•What kind of camera/lenses do you use?
I use the new Olympus PEN E-PL1. It is truly greater than the sum of its parts. I was so excited when I received this fabulous gift from my husband for Christmas! I was so grateful to use a “real” camera-sort of speak, instead of my Casio – Exilim! The E-PL1 is an easy-to-use and portable all-in-one package that travels well, and captures most of the details on Fashionably Living.
• Where do you find inspiration for you food, clothes, décor and fitness?
Fashionably Living is a place to share what’s going on in this crazy spastic brain of mine! I swear my mind wonders all over the place and I am always thinking up something! I love food, clothes, décor, and fitness – so it is easy to talk about it. I draw inspiration for these passions from people I look up too. For instance, Giada De Laurentiis truly taught me the love of cooking! Unbelievable, seeing as I don’t know her personally, but she transformed the way I thought and felt about food. She is truly my food coach and my inspiration. As for fashion, I think I came into this world with Mary-Jane’s, the cutest pink dress and hair bow you have ever seen…lol. I have been a girly girl since birth and if it weren’t for my meticulous parents and their love for designer and high street fashion, my desire for fashion might not be so strong. One of my favorite memories from childhood is going to the mall nearly every weekend with my daddy. Walking into the Ralph Lauren section of any department store will forever remind me of him. My daddy loves Ralph Lauren, as do I! As for, interior design I can’t escape this passion. The richness of plush pillows and bedding, antiques, modern design, and the associated history leaves my soul aching for more! Interior design is not something I initially went to school for, but I did return to school for interior design, because my heart wouldn’t let up. The beauty of interior design is that I am able to take my spastic mind transform multiple spaces, incorporate the needs of my clients and my love for fashion all in one- what is better than that, uh? As for fitness, it’s a part of my daily life. Staying shape is essential for living a healthy life. I love to work out and it has sort-of become an addiction!
• What do you do for a living?
I am a buyer. I have a pretty sweet job! I love the flexibility I have and I work with great people!
• Can I interview you on my site/blog?
Absolutely! Just email me to get in touch & introduce yourself, and I’d love to answer your questions!
• I have a recipe question?
I have an answer for you, or I will try and answer you the best I can. I receive a lot of recipe questions via email and although I try to respond to them, it’s much better for everyone involved if you leave your question(s) in the comment section of that recipe. I try to always read new comments, I will respond to a published comment much faster than an email. Plus, I prefer this method, as others may benefit from your question.
• Do you have a recipe for “______”?
The two easiest ways to find content on Fashionably Living is to use the categories section in the right side bar or use the search engine at the top right corner of every page.
• Why didn’t this recipe work for me?
The hard part is that I am not in the kitchen with you. I don’t know if the ingredients you used were measured correctly, fresh, or if your oven is calibrated properly, if you swapped an ingredient for another one that probably caused the dish’s failure, if your ingredients were at room temperature, etc. Please feel free to be creative with my recipes…if you desire to swap ingredients, by all means try it, but just know it might not come out or taste how I originally intended the recipe to.
