Easy Decor Tips for Your Bedroom

Happy Friday Lovely Ladies!  Today, we have a guest blogger Nico, from Headboad Spot.  She will be teaching you easy bedroom decorating tips!

Hope You Enjoy!

XO,

Rachel Ashley

The opportunity to add upholstered headboards is a popular way to update the look of a bed. It will have a more modern feel and will make those who sleep there feel more up to date. It is a good idea to change up some style and design elements in a home every now and then to keep up the energy. No matter how happy people are with how they decorate a space, it will feel old and dated over time. They will get tired of seeing the same things, the same colors and the same accents day after day. Updating different elements regularly will keep a home fresh and more enjoyable.

The variety of headboards for beds is impressive and changing them is a key decorating technique. This is a lot easier than many people think as the features are interchangeable since the bed rails are standard. Adding upholstery is even easier as many can slip over an existing part. Since the mattresses and other elements of the bed are hidden under comforters and are covered by duvets and dust ruffles, simply changing the bedding to match the headboard will make it look like a completely new bed in the room.

Changing the curtains is another quick and easy decorating solution that can make a big impact, especially when it is changed to match the bedding. These elements and a coat of paint could completely transform a room.

These changes are all easy and the project can be done in a weekend. None of the elements need to be expensive, making this project accessible to almost anyone. Those who are not happy with their current bedroom might want to shake things up a bit and do some redecorating. Making a headboard the focus of the project offers potential benefits as this is an element that is getting more attention. From standard wooden versions there is a wide variety of options to choose from. Some are padded and others are covered with fabric and there are even functional versions that have bookshelves built right into them.

Many of the elements of interior decoration are simple to change. Some people are intimidated by this kind of project as they think it has to be extensive and use expensive elements. Most of the changes are minor and can be done without any help. Choosing to switch to upholstered headboards or converting the current ones are good examples of how easy these kinds of changes can be.

Ruffles and Stripes

IMG_2800

My hubby took me out for a fabulous dinner last week, for our 4 year wedding anniversary!  The food was superb and I love any excuse to dress up and wear heels!  The restaurant was at a hotel and their landscaping was beautiful, so we couldn’t help but snap a few pictures!  This is the second time I have worn this adorable BCBG dress, it even has pockets!  Its one of my favorite dresses, because I love the structure, the ruffles, and the striped design on the skirt!  I’ve noticed lately that I’m loving BCBG dresses!  Who is your favorite designer for dresses?  Hope Monday!

Rachel Ashley
