Happy Tuesday!  I hope you are all doing well!  I was super excited to wear this new blouse I got about a month ago for my birthday!  I went a little crazy in Banana Republic and bought so many of my birthday clothes from there!  They have so much good stuff!!  Well, if you read my blog you know I love orange and I love ruffles!  I added a little spice, but putting on my leopard Mia wedges, which I have had forever, but they are so comfortable!

Hello lovelies!  Sorry my posting has been a little sporadic!  Ever since we got home from the cruise, life has been pretty busy!  This last weekend was so much fun!  I was blessed to attend two fabulous gala events!  On Sunday, I wore this fabulous yellow Maggy London dress to a Children’s Cancer Fashion show!  Attire, was spring dresses and check out my Prada shoes, I purchased these after my very first “real” interior design job!  Anyways, those kids and families were so awesome and they are so strong!  Dillard’s sponsored the Fashion show and allowed the children to choose outfits based on their fashion sense.  They all looked so cute!  It truly makes you count your blessings and thank God for your health!  My mom and I took a few photos around the hotel’s property, the flowers were simply gorgeous!!!  Enjoy!

XO,

Rachel Ashley

Tartan

Happy Hump Day!  I hope your having a fabulous week and I hope you all enjoyed the first of the Design Elements Series!  A lot has been happening in my life the past 6 months, good and bad, but all of it has helped me to grow and realize I am truly thankful for and truly enjoy!  My blog has always been important to me and I have had so much fun spending time with all of you! But I want to make it even better!  I want to take a minute to thank you for your comments and your support.  It is truly my goal to make my blog a priority and bring helpful and inspiring information/fashion to you on a weekly basis; starting now and into the coming year!   Today, I bring you one of my favorite patterns for fashion and interior design!  I love Tartan!  Tartan is a pattern consisting of criss-crossed horizontal and vertical bands in multiple colors tartans originated in woven wool, but now they are made in many other materials and are also known as plaids!  When I saw this blouse hanging up in the store I knew I had to have it.  Not only was it tartan, but it had ruffles and was a peplum too!  You all know I love ruffles, pearls and bows, but you can add plaids to the list too!  What’s one of your favorite patterns?  Do you like Tartan too?

XO,

Rachel Ashley

Polo Match 2012

Posted by on Oct 24, 2012 in Fashionably Fashionable | 0 comments

I shared with you on Saturday, that I was going to be attending a Polo Match and I wanted to share a few pictures of our adventures with you.  I had never been to a Polo Match before.  I had more fun people watching, than I did watching the actual match.  Some people were way overdressed, while others wore jeans and a t-shirt.  Since, I have never been to a match I really didn’t know what to expect.  I know that Polo Matches on the West Coast are probably a lot different than the ones you would find on the East Coast.  Some people looked like they were trying way to hard to fit the bill, while others didn’t seem to care.  I was glad I wore shorts and my new cute ruffled Ralph Lauren top!  It was warm, and it would have been uncomfortable to have jeans and boots on!  I had a lot of fun with my friends, cousin and husband! I would totally attend an event like this again!

XO,

Rachel Ashley

Hi Dolls! Aren’t you so excited it’s October?  I love this time of year, although where I am from the weather doesn’t change that much in October, we are still in triple digit weather here!  Sorry I missed you yesterday I was still recovering from my long weekend!  I worked the Justin Bieber concert and man I was exhausted the next day!  I was asked to be in charge of the outdoor merchandise booth, and all the bending over, grabbing shirts for 12 hours and selling to screaming little girls got really old and tiring!  Anywho, I have recovered and I am back in full swing this week.  My closet is almost done (see my old closet here), which I will be excited to share that with you.  A lot of great recipes pop up around this time of year, so be on the lookout for Fashionably Organic Foods!  Happy Tuesday!

Rachel Ashley
