I am so glad its Friday! Do you have any exciting plans for the weekend? I am excited that I don’t have any plans. I am always so busy and my schedule is always packed so it will be nice to have the time to get things done around my house! To a guest my house looks perfectly clean, but to me it is dirty! I need to mop the floors, vacuum, dust, wash clothes, fold and iron clothes, clean my husbands and my closet. My car needs a good washing along with my two furry children. I also would like to catch up on my TV shows, watch a movie or two, finish homework, and complete a few DIY projects. Do you think I expect too much of myself? I know I really do expect so much of myself, but working late nights and leaving early in the morning on a daily basis causes many of the basic household chores to be put to the side. Tonight my hubby is having a guy’s night, so my mom and I are going to enjoy a movie night together. Although it would be fun to watch a newer release, I was thinking about how much I love old movies! There is something to be said for movies from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. Movies aren’t made the same anymore. I always say I was born in the wrong era, because fashions from these decades are fabulous, people and history from this time were like no other and my favorite is the entertainment was singing and dancing. While I escaped to these thoughts for a while I remembered the beautiful women that graced the Hollywood screens. The Barbie dolls of those decades were people like: Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Lucille Ball, Rosemary Clooney, Vera Ellen, Ginger Rodgers, Shirley Temple and the list could go on. The glamour and beauty each of these women had was remarkable and definitely unforgettable. I love to look at these vintage pictures of these beautiful women! Still not sure which movie I will watch, but I am thinking a classic! Have a fabulous Friday!
XO,
Rachel Ashley
